Things have definitely not gone according to plan for LeBron James this NBA season.

King James has been struggling with a groin injury so bad that the therapist who worked with him says James should have missed most of the season.

He has also been without Lonzo Ball for several weeks now thanks to his injury.

And the Lakers, who haven’t posted a winning record since Kobe Bryant’s final season in 2011-12, started out 20-14, and now have have to win three of their final eight games just to finish better than their 35-47 record of last year – the year they didn’t have the self-proclaimed GOAT.

This will also mark the first time since 2005 that James will not be playing in the NBA postseason – certainly not what he envisioned when signing with the Lakers.

Then, just to add insult to injury Tuesday night in the game versus the Washington Wizards, LeBron did something that pretty much sums up his entire move to L.A. so far: he airballed a free throw.

Naturally, this sad event caused NBA Twitter to light up with all sorts of witty comments and jokes at the King’s expense.
