Stories surrounding the potential transfer of Biletnikoff award winner Jordan Addison continue to grow.

Last week, it was reported that the star wide receiver was mulling over a move to USC. The only problem was that he wasn’t in the transfer portal.

Possible tampering accusations began to fly, with Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi leading the charge.

It was reported that an NIL agreement was already in place. That deal was said to be in the range of $2 million. Had the USC coaching staff been aware of this, NCAA infractions could come into play.

Of course, it would be hard to prove considering the pre-existing relationship between Addison and Trojans QB Caleb Williams. Both hail from the Washington DC area, and it’s been said that Williams was the person to get the ball rolling.

Still, the tampering claims have seemingly slowed the momentum that USC was beginning to gain.

Addison’s recruitment has now opened up, with a few more suitors entering the race.

Jordan Addison officially enters the transfer portal

Earlier this week, Addison officially entered the portal.  This allowed any team in America to contact the wideout per NCAA rule.

Teams were quick to reach out upon hearing the news. Alabama and Texas have now joined USC as the frontrunners.

The steam continued to pick up on Wednesday with the report that Addison was training with Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young.

With the Longhorns and Tide now joining the conversation, the once favored Trojans are out of the spotlight.

But was that all part of the plan?

Oklahoma fans think Lincoln Riley is behind the latest Jordan Addison rumors

OU fans are hesitant to believe that Alabama and Texas are legitimate contenders for the All-American wide receiver. They use the Caleb Williams transfer as a reference.

Williams was considered a USC lean after Lincoln Riley took the job, but rumors began to swirl about a battle with Wisconsin. Those talks didn’t last long, and Williams ultimately chose the Trojans.

Many Sooner fans believe that Wisconsin was never a true contender, though, and that Riley was just trying to shift the attention. They feel the same thing is happening with Addison.

We’ll soon learn where Addison winds up. Will he choose USC, Texas, or Alabama? Will he stay at Pitt?

One thing is for sure, if he does choose the Trojans, these conspiracy theories will continue to fly.
