LSU and Ole Miss, two bitter SEC West rivals, took the field on Saturday in a huge ranked vs. ranked matchup. The game had everything.
A coaching battle between Lane Kiffin and Brian Kelly. High powered offenses that combined for more than 100 points. A last second play that decided the winner.
When all was said and done, the Rebels came out victorious in a 55-49 thriller. OM fans stormed the field at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium after taking down the 13th-ranked Tigers.
We’ve grown accustomed to seeing the negative side of fan interaction in college football, and sports in general. The nastier news seems to make the headlines, with crowd fights, player-fan altercations, and unsavory in-stadium behavior often being most talked about.
The Rebels’ head coach is no stranger to the vitriol that is often spewed from rival fans.
