Former LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers is not thrilled about the idea of playing for the Tennessee Titans. Although he did not explicitly state his lack of desire to be drafted by the organization in Nashville, it was what he didn’t say that spoke loudly to his opinion of the team.

Nabers is likely going to be the second wide receiver picked in April, despite his own belief about himself. Marvin Harrison Jr. is the clear-cut No. 1 pass-catcher on the board and he is likely No. 2. Rome Odunze is also in the mix out of Washington.

Regardless of who goes when, it would be shocking if Nabers slipped out of the first round. His twitchy, yet physical style of play led him to record back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in 2022 and 2023, with 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns on 89 catches last fall.

His 6-foot-0, 200-pound frame and ability to play from multiple alignments makes him a very dangerous player on all three levels. It is expected that Nabers’ skillset will translate well to the NFL.

Malik Nabers could be a top-five pick.

And that would be good news for more reason than one!

Not only would Nabers get paid big money, the Titans would be unable to draft him unless they were to trade up. And that seems to be something that he would prefer.

Nabers had nothing but good things to say about his meeting with Tennessee at the NFL Combine.

However, when presented with a hypothetical situation that would see him end up as a member of either the Falcons or Titans, the 20-year-old was not thrilled. Especially about the latter.

Nabers said that “Atlanta wouldn’t be too bad” and nothing more.

There is a lot of room for interpretation with his comments, but you can read between the lines.

Malik Nabers does not appear to be excited about the possibility of playing for Tennessee. That was made pretty clear with his reaction to the two options presented by CBS.
