Mia Williams’ dad, Jason, returned to the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City. He watched Game 2 of the finals from the stands.

Williams missed the opener due to a self-imposed one-game hiatus. He did not want to be a distraction.

With that being said, he decided to do his cheering incognito during Game 2. He did not plan on stealing the spotlight from the Texas Tech softball team.

Jason Williams is back in OKC.

Barstool Tate posted a photo from the Women’s College World Series on Thursday. Williams was back in the stands.

Tate had been following the former NBA star throughout the week. Content was crushing. Williams, however, believed it was taking the focus away from the Texas Tech team.

As a result, he removed himself from the situation.

Williams’ antics have been met with criticism throughout the postseason. During the super regional round, he was involved in an altercation with a Florida fan that resulted in her ejection from the stadium.

In Oklahoma City, he’s been seen doing his best to rile up opposing fanbases.

That behavior had some believing that Texas Tech had issued a request for Williams to leave the WCWS. He insists that wasn’t the case.

Barstool did not be film Williams from his seat in Game 2. He wanted all eyes on his daughter and her teammates.

Mia Williams is a problem.

The infielder has been on an absolute tear at the dish this postseason. She was hitting .429 at the Women’s College World Series upon entering the finals. She hit her fifth home run in Oklahoma City in the finals against Texas.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to lift the Red Raiders to victory in the opener. Texas Tech fell, 7-3.
