University of Michigan football pulled the most ironic move possible on Saturday. As head coach Jim Harbaugh watched the game from an undisclosed location away from the stadium, a Wolverines staffer went out of his way to block the Fox broadcast cameras from filming the huddle.

This camera-blocking tactic comes with extremely comical timing. It really doesn’t get any funnier.

Michigan is currently at the center of an NCAA investigation. The Wolverines allegedly ran a nationwide operation to illegally scout future opponents and to steal their signals. Since-fired analyst Connor Stalions is the most prominent name involved, though a booster named ‘Uncle T’ has recently come to light and may have had a role in funding the behavior.

Harbaugh received a three-game suspension for the actions in Ann Arbor. Michigan was set to fight the Big Ten in court over the ruling, but mounting evidence against the program led them to back off. Even though it was not an admission of guilt, it sure felt a lot like an admission of guilt!

All of this goes to say that the Wolverines appear to have worked tirelessly, around-the-clock, year-round to steal signals from their opponents. They are involved with one of the biggest cheating scandals in college football history.

Meanwhile, Michigan assigned a staffer to block Fox’s cameras with a massive flag. Oh, the irony!

Everything going on with the Wolverines is mayhem. This new wrinkle of the huddle-blocker only adds to what has been a rollercoaster of hilarity. Every new detail that comes out is crazier than the next.

Saturday was no different. The skycam couldn’t peek!

A team that allegedly spent significant resources to steal signs from others is extremely worried with its huddle being broadcast for the world to see. You really can’t write it any better!
