It’s been a big week for the New York Jets as they not only welcomed quarterback Aaron Rodgers back to the facility for practice for the first time since September, but they also unveiled their new uniforms and logo, the latter of which is something that the fanbase has been asking for for years.

Not only was the rollout of the new uniforms a success as fans largely love the new look, but the team was able to have some fun with them, too, as they used the draw of the jerseys to prank their players by having a human pretending to be a mannequin.

Not everyone was fooled, however, as both cornerback Sauce Gardner and quarterback Aaron Rodgers were able to sense that some sort of prank was unfolding.

“We work for the fans,” Jets owner Woody Johnson said of the new uniform/logo combo in an official statement on the team’s website. “They have consistently asked for us to return to our roots and we heard them. The new uniforms are explicitly designed to look and feel like the New York Jets while refreshing the club’s iconic logo – viewed by fans as our most identifiable mark.”

The Jets will certainly be hoping their outfit upgrade will translate to better fortunes on the field as they look to end the longest postseason drought in American professional sports: 13 years and counting.

Luckily for Gang Green, their road to the postseason will be aided by the fact that they have the projected fourth-easiest schedule in the National Football League. Despite that advantage, however, the bookies still have the Jets as the third favorites to win the AFC East behind the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.

The final piece of the offseason for the Jets will be the NFL Draft, which is being held in Detroit from Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27. The Jets have 7 total picks, including the 10th overall.
