There are very few things that Nick Saban doesn’t have in life. He has a loving and supportive wife, a career .789 winning percentage, nine SEC titles, seven national championship trophies and an ungodly amount of money.
Thus, as the 69-year-old turns 70 on Sunday, he isn’t asking for anything in particular because he is filthy rich.
Saban’s birthday, as it does every 365 days, falls on Halloween. It just so happens to fall on Alabama’s bye week this year, so throughout this week’s media sessions and press conferences, many of the questions directed toward the head coach have moved away from the gridiron.
When asked about sharing his birthday with All Hallow’s Eve, Saban offered a hilarious quip. He wants to make sure that he balances out the ghosts and goblins by being a good person.
‘It’s not a bad time to have a birthday. There’s a lot of ghosts and goblins out there but you try to balance it out by being a good person.’

Saban was also asked what he hopes to be gifted for his 70th birthday celebration and his response was absolutely savage. He does not want anything, because if there was something he wanted, he would just go get it.
Nick Saban said he doesn't want anything for his 70th birthday.
"If there's something out there I want, we usually just go get it."

The incredibly direct, straight-faced answer is not only the most Nick Saban retort ever, but it’s a reminder of just how much money he really has.
If Saban wants something, he buys it and finances are no object.
The soon-to-be 70-year-old signed a contract extension over the summer. He will average $10.6 million per year over the next eight years.
And that doesn’t include the gobloads of cash he has already accrued throughout his 31-year head coaching career or any of his endorsements.
So, with a net worth of about $60 million, Saban considering his birthday just another day in terms of presents and gifts makes sense.
But he didn’t have to go and flex on everybody like that. Savage.
