The White House is beginning to recruit soldiers to attend the UFC White House event next month, and there are some interesting requirements.
On June 14, the UFC will host a fight card on the South Lawn of the White House.
According to Time magazine, 1,200 of the 4,300 seats will go to active military members.

The UFC group details the seating arrangements for Trump’s Marine Band, the media, and the military personnel. At least 1,200 of the approximately 4,300 seats will go to active military members. The White House, TKO, and the UFC will divvy up the rest: White has invited Adam Sandler, Guy Ritchie, Tom Brady, Jared Leto, Jason Statham, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Mario Lopez.
The Washington Post reports that military members invited to the event will have to pay their own travel expenses and will be required to be fit.

The Defense Department in recent days has solicited volunteers across the services to attend the June 14 event in uniform. Officials are seeking junior enlisted personnel and junior officers specifically, according to internal messages that make clear travel costs will be “member-procured,” meaning neither the Defense Department nor the UFC intends to pay for their arrangements or accommodations.
Junior troops make up the military’s lowest pay grades.
One memo, circulated within the Air Force, stipulates that to be eligible, personnel “MUST MEET CURRENT WAIST-HEIGHT RATIO and current physical fitness standard.” Troops will be required to wear their short-sleeve dress uniforms, the memo adds.
CNN’s report states that sources are telling them that there will be “no fat soldiers” allowed, and that they must look good on camera.
“According to one defense official, it says this sends a very clear message to any attendees who want to come to this event, who are interested in attending this event, quote, no fatties. Another defense official said senior Pentagon leaders are signaling their preference for military members who will look good on camera. And that person said, again, basically no fat soldiers would be admitted to this event.”
