On Monday, US Women’s National Team star Megan Rapinoe spoke to Time magazine about the issue of transgender athletes.
“We as a country are trying to legislate away people’s full humanity,” she told Time.
“It’s particularly frustrating when women’s sports is weaponized. Oh, now we care about fairness? Now we care about women’s sports? That’s total bull****. And show me all the trans people who are nefariously taking advantage of being trans in sports. It’s just not happening,” Rapinoe continued.
Rapinoe also blamed Martina Navratilova, Sage Steele and Dave Chappelle for inciting violence.
“Dave Chappelle making jokes about trans people directly leads to violence, whether it’s verbal or otherwise, against trans people,” said Rapinoe.
“When Martina or Sage or whoever are talking about this, people aren’t hearing it just in the context of elite sports. They’re saying, ‘The rest of my life, this is how I’m going to treat trans people.’”
Navratilova responded to Megan Rapinoe’s quotes with a one word tweet, “Yikes…”
Steele responded by commenting on ESPN’s Sam Ponder’s tweet defending her.

It’s quite a divisive issue and one that isn’t going to be settled any time soon.
Unless, of course, we all stop and listen to noted social commentator OJ Simpson, who decided he needed to weigh in on the subject on Tuesday.
“I saw Megan Rapinoe said that she would love to be competing against transgender women and look, I’m all for it,” Simpson said in his latest Twitter video.
“Why don’t they treat it, especially in track and field, like a marathon and everybody can compete but when it’s over, have a category for female, a category for male and a category for transgenders?
“A senator in South Carolina stated ‘What if Mike Tyson decides to identify as female?’ Are you going to let him box women? I don’t think so. I’m a golfer, and trust me, you could take probably the 350th rated male golfer, now that we know women are making all this money, but if he decides that he wants to identify as a female, trust me he would probably be a top ten female golfer.”
The Juice’s solution?
“If you’re born a male or a female, I don’t think it’s fair in sports to have them competing against one another. Give them their own category. Let the trans compete against trans, the female against the females and the male against the males,” he suggested.

“Yeah man, it’s crazy how much damage somebody who is ENORMOUS can do to somebody who has the smaller build of say… a woman… and maybe another man of smaller stature,” read another comment.
Fights should always be fair too. For instance if you’re gonna go after someone with a knife, you should give them a knife too. Also, males should not be allowed to engage females in knife fights.
