Golf personality Paige Spiranac wants pros to be able to wear whatever they want on the course, as opposed to being confined to the stuffy restraints often seen at the highest level.
She took to social media to voice that opinion this week with Anthony Kim making his long-awaited return.
The LIV Golf tour officially signed Kim on Monday, inking a major deal with the man once tabbed as the PGA’s next great phenom. Unfortunately, injuries stunted his surge to the top, which led to his cashing out a $10M insurance policy that required him to give up the game for good.
Or so we thought.
LIV Golf leader Greg Norman confirmed that the league was willing to pay back that insurance money in order to get Kim back on the links, leading to a return from his decade-long hiatus.
He’s set to make his debut on March 1st in Saudi Arabia.
Videos quickly circulated showing Kim taking practice shots at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in Jeddah earlier this week, one of which caught the eye of Paige Spiranac.
It showed the golfer sporting a casual look on the range.

“I wish all pro golfers could wear what they wanted,” she wrote on her X feed. “Would help promote the game to a younger audience.”
It’s a debate that gained steam upon LIV Golf’s introduction, as the league unveiled a less strict dress code for tournament players – a move that helped further differentiate itself from the PGA Tour.
Her followers were split on the argument, with a number of comments being in favor of a casual look on the range but a professional look during play.
Paige Spiranac has always been a proponent of comfort on the course.

Whether that’s at a high-profile course or her favorite muni.
“Five years, over 3M followers, and a failed pro golf career later this is still my go to course in the springs and I’m still wearing my tank tops!”
“I was a gymnast before I switched into golf and so I was so comfortable wearing Spandex and very little of it because that’s just what you wear when you’re wearing a leotard and you’re competing,” she noted in an interview with Sports Illustrated.
“When I switched into golf, we were struggling a little bit financially and so I didn’t have the luxury to go out and buy a whole new golf appropriate wardrobe. And so, I wore what was in my closet which was workout clothes. And that’s just how I learned to play the game.”
She’s caught backlash in the past for her outfit choice, posting about being mistreated at certain private country clubs who believe her style to be a bit too controversial.

Still, she’s done her best to push those critics aside, which seems to have worked out just fine in her professional career as an influencer.
