The New England Patriots are sticking with Mac Jones as their starting quarterback for their Week 6 game against the Raiders, according to head coach Bill Belichick.

Despite suffering back-to-back crushing losses, Belichick says there won’t be any quarterback changes.

Over the past two games, the Patriots lost by a combined brutal 72-3 score, with Mac Jones struggling, racking up six turnovers, including two pick-6 interceptions and had a fumble returned for a defensive touchdown while scoring zero touchdowns on offense.

Belichick, who’s recently been ripped by NFL execs, had previously said that the team needed to “start over” after those losses, but it looks like it those changes don’t include a switch at quarterback.

When asked about Mac Jones’ status for the upcoming game, Belichick told media, “Yeah, we’re not making any changes.”

Mac Jones has been one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL this season and has thrown more interceptions (6), than touchdowns (5). He also has a career-low 62.5% completion rate.

Backup Bailey Zappe started and had success last season, but it doesn’t seem that Belichick wants to give up on his former 1st round pick selection and admit he failed on yet another draft pick.

For more context, Mac Jones has already thrown more pick-6 interceptions at home than Tom Brady did during his remarkable 20-year career with the team.

Furthermore, Jones already lost two games with a loss margin of over 30 points, both coming in the last two weeks, while Tom Brady only had one such game in his 283 starts.

Many believe this will be Bill Belichick last season on the team, he is currently below .500 in his career without Tom Brady and is facing missing the playoffs for the 9th time in his career as head coach without him.
