Patriots Legend Rob Gronkowski Hates Current Patriots For Over-Celebrating Win Over Bills: ‘Like They Won The Super Bowl’

Patriots legend Rob Gronkowski isn’t exactly happy with the way current Patriots players celebrate their (few) victories.

The soon to be Pro Football Hall of Famer didn’t hold back in his criticism of his former team’s post-game celebration.

Gronk joined Kay Adams on her show ‘Up & Adams’ Wednesday morning for a chat about the Patriots’ win against the Bills. The Patriots, who had been struggling at 1-5, were up against the 4-2 Bills and managed to pull off a late-game victory.

After Mac Jones and Mike Gesicki connected for the late game-winning touchdown, the celebration that followed didn’t sit well with Gronkowski. According to him, during his time with the team, big celebrations like that were a no-no.

“If you ask me, that celebration was pretty ridiculous. Whenever we celebrated just a little bit, we would get hounded. They just won one game, they celebrated like more than we would when we won a Super Bowl.

Gronk continued: “That was like one of the most absurd celebrations. Like I’m like, ‘Wow, they won a game! They went that crazy.’ They acted like they’ve never been before, Chung. So what do you think? They’re griddying all over the place to an absurd level.”

Patrick Chung, his former teammate, responded that times have changed. Which is true – the glory days of Tom Brady making up for weaknesses and helping Bill Belichick win are a thing of the past.

Surprisingly, the critique comes from Gronk, known for his fun-loving spirit during his playing days. Still, he does raise a valid point about changing in standards within the Patriots.
