Boston Celtics legend and former ESPN NBA analyst (we’re mentioning his brief time at ESPN for a reason) Paul Pierce hopped on social media to share a wild photo that he claims his friends had made for his birthday.

Paul Pierce shares a photo of a wild birthday cake that recreates the infamous Instagram Live moment that got him fired from ESPN

The photo, which goes beyond a PG-13 rating so we won’t be posting it directing in this article, features Pierce taking a selfie with a dancer in a promiscuous position in the background. The cake also features poker chips around the base. You can find the photo over on Paul Pierce’s Twitter account.

The reason we mention Pierce’s time with ESPN, of course, is because the Celtics legend was fired from ESPN back in 2021 after an Instagram live stream video of a poker game that featured women in bikinis dancing for the camera. In addition to the gambling and dancing women, Pierce was also drinking and smoking marijuana in the video. Pierce live-streamed the video on April 2, 2021, and was fired by ESPN just three days later on April 5, 2021.

Drafted by the Boston Celtics with the 10th overall pick in the 1998 draft, Pierce — nicknamed “The Truth” by Shaquille O’Neal — spent 15 seasons with the Boston Celtics and was named to 10 All-Star Games. Pierce also helped lead the Celtics to the 2008 NBA title, which saw him win NBA Finals MVP in the series against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Following a Hall of Fame career with the Celtics, Pierce was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in 2014 along with fellow NBA All-Star Kevin Garnett. Pierce would only play one season in New York before closing out his career with the Washington Wizards from 2014-15 and the Los Angeles Clippers from 2015-2017.
