Hey, coronavirus, Penn State fans aren’t worried about you. At least not a large number of them because they recently set sail on a cruise during the coronavirus fears.

According to Penn Live, a Nittany Lions fan cruise set sail on March 9 from Miami, made a stop in Key West and Cozumel Mexico along the way, and now the ship is on its return journey.

Let’s remember here that we are only three weeks removed from The Diamond Princess cruise ship docking at the port in Yokohama, Japan after 542 of the 3,711 passengers and crew onboard the ship tested positive for the virus. The CDC is also strongly recommending travelers cancel cruise trips worldwide.

Among those on the fan cruise are Joe Paterno’s wife Sue and former running back Franco Harris. Paterno is 80-years-old and Harris is 70-years-old, putting them among the category of people that can be most at risk when it comes to coronavirus. One has to assume that other fans onboard fall into that same age range as well because after all, older people love them some cruises.

Paterno, Harris and some Penn State fans aren’t the only people waving the middle finger to the coronavirus as they board a cruise at this time. Florida’s top-ranking health official, Maria Stahl, is taking a cruise this week as well, which in my honest assessment, sounds pretty fucking stupid.
