Purdue faced Michigan this weekend, and the school’s mascot took the opportunity to troll. Walking the sidelines with a fake camera, Purdue Pete went viral.

And while his team would go on to lose the game in blowout fashion, the Boilermakers still found a way to crush the souls of Wolverine backers.

The game wouldn’t be close as UM jumped out to a quick 17-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Purdue took its seventh loss of what’s been a forgettable season to this point, but the Boilermakers made sure to hand L’s out where they could.

The first way was through an epic troll job.

Michigan is in the midst of a sign-stealing scandal that’s overtaken college football. Connor Stalions, the coach said to have led the operation, was recently fired as accusations continue to pile up.

Stalions is said to have purchased tickets to games featuring future opponents, videotaping the sidelines for Michigan scouting.

Purdue’s mascot found the best way to get under the skin of Michigan fans, while the Boilermakers found a way to rip the hearts out of Wolverine bettors.

Purdue lost, but they covered the spread…

And late.

Michigan entered as a 32-point favorite over their outmanned Big Ten foes. And up until the final 20 seconds of the game, they covered that large number.

The Boilermakers trailed 41-6 on their final possession, but rather than pack it in, they went for the score.

On a fourth-and-three play with less than 30 seconds left on the clock, Purdue quarterback Hudson Card threw a 24-yard strike to Deion Burks for a touchdown.

Final score: Michigan 41, Purdue 13.

Purdue might’ve lost on the field, but it found a way to be a menace in every other way possible.
