Things are going from bad to worse for the Las Vegas Raiders. They were one of the most hyped-up teams in the offseason, as many believed they’d be a threat in the AFC West. Instead, Vegas has been abysmal from the start. Now, it the franchise is moving on from another former first-round pick Johnathan Abram, who was a pick in the Jon Gruden era.

Raiders Release Another Former First-Round Pick

According to Tom Pelissero, Vegas surprisingly has decided to release Johnathan Abram from the roster. Abram was a former first-round selection in 2019 and was one of Jon Gruden’s first rookies brought into the organization. After playing rather poorly, the Raiders are moving on from the safety altogether.

This is a horrible look for Las Vegas, as this franchise missed the mark on most of their draft picks lately. Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock did the Raiders no favors during their tenure. Although this isn’t the best news for Vegas, the fanbase seems to be on board with the decision. It’s just another step of washing away the stain left by Gruden and Mayock.

Just a wild stretch of decisions for the Raiders.

A lot of other fanbases are clamoring for their team to sign the former Raiders safety, but someone is always quick to shut it down.

With a new head coach leading the way maybe the Raiders can improve their drafting abilities. If not, then it could turn incredibly bad for Vegas quickly.
