I love it when the spouses of professional athletes decide that they are not going to, as LaVar Ball so eloquently put it, stay in their lane.
When WAGs like Kristin Cavallari, Olivia Munn, Miko Grimes and Kate Upton decide to enter the fray it’s almost as if they truly think that their calling out the trolls will somehow actually make them stop. So beautifully naive.
Carrie Underwood gets it. She just cheers her husband and his team and even knows when to stop before she treads into dangerous troll waters.
Robyn Hayward, the wife of Gordon Hayward, AKA Utah’s public enemy number one, is not one of those people as she took to Instagram on Wednesday to express her displeasure with all the hate being tossed her husband’s way after signing with the Boston Celtics.

I’m excited to go on this adventure with this man! It’s bittersweet leaving where we’ve called home and grown our family, but I’m excited to see where this path takes us! We are so grateful for everything Utah has done for us! ❤️ Also, as for all the mean comments and threats. Don’t forget athletes are humans too. Treat others how you would like to be treated. It would never cross my mind to speak so negatively and so full of hate about oneself or their family.
Yeah, a four-year, $128 million contract would have me very excited as well. As for those hating on Gordo, my guess is that, while I appreciate Robyn sticking up for her husband (as she should), this Instagram post isn’t going to slow them down. Just a gut feeling.
Something also tells me that the Haywards will somehow survive it too.
