The European Tour is a fine-tuned machine when it comes to pumping out highly entertaining content, especially with some of the biggest names in the game. Earlier this year they produced the ‘Angry Golfers’ video that was unbelievably entertaining and now they’ve taken things to the course with Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas trying to make a hole-in-one.

The European Tour has done hole-in-one challenges in the past by giving golfers 500 attempts to make an ace, but they changed things up this time around.

McIlroy and Thomas, the No. 8 and No. 3 golfers in the world, respectively, were each given 50 attempts to make a hole-in-one on a 148-yard hole at Abu Dhabi Golf Club. The result was seven minutes of pure entertainment as the two absolutely abused the flagstick.

This proves that no matter how good you are and no matter if you give two of the best in the game 50 attempts, hitting a hole-in-one is extremely difficult. The two came unbelievably close a handful of times, but it just wasn’t their day.
