Earlier this week Colin Kaepernick caused an uproar after he protested the national anthem and criticized police officers who he felt were leaving bodies on the street and getting away with murder.
I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people and people of color,” against Green Bay. “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”
The Niners QB was also spotted this week wearing “pig” socks which angered the executive director of the National Association of Police Organizations who called the Kaepernick’s actions “disrespectful”.
Now, the San Clara police union is threatening to pull their officers from games if the 49ers don’t do anything about Colin Kaepernick.
BREAKING: Santa Clara Police Union sends letter to #49ers, saying they may stop working events unless changes are made w/ #Kaepernick.

cont'd: Union letter, in part: "Unfortunately, some recent actions by a 49ers employee have threatened our harmonious working relationship."

I’m not entirely sure what the police union wants the San Francisco 49ers to do here. Are they implying that they want Kaepernick to get cut for his comments about the national anthem? That seems a bit out of hand.
