It’s Outrageous How Much Tommy DeVito’s Agent Looks Like A Supporting ‘The Sopranos’ Character

Tommy DeVito’s New Jersey Italianess is so aggressive and all-consuming that I’m beginning to believe it might actually be a genius marketing strategy being used to give him a foothold in the NFL. And this is coming from someone who has literally spent 30 years being a New Jersey Italian.

How else do you explain him still living with his parents, who make him chicken cutlets and do his laundry, and going to Hoboken to party during the Giants’ bye week, and signing autographs at Primo Sub Shop, and having an agent that looks like a caricature of a shady supporting character of The Sopranos?

DeVito’s agent is Sean Stellato, who is the founder of Stellato Sports, “a multi-faceted sports representation and marketing agency.”

According to Stellato’s website, Sean “is an NFLPA certified agent who represents numerous NFL players” who also “runs skills camps, training and conditioning coaching, as well as player events and promos.”

Stellato has negotiated multi-million dollar player contracts for a host of NFL stars including Joe Vellano of the New England Patriots, Alfred Morris (Washington Redskins/Dallas Cowboys), Shaun Draughn (San Francisco 49ers/NY Giants), Ryan Allen (New England Patriots), Bryan Braman (Philadelphia Eagles), Tye Smith (Seattle Seahawks) and Ryan Delaire (Carolina Panthers).

Given the viral moment that he’s having, DeVito is likely Stellato’s highest-profile client yet, as being the starting quarterback for the New York Giants is no small thing even when the team is below average.

Signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent earlier this year, DeVito has appeared in five games for the G-Men and has completed 63% of his passes 697 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions.

Barring injury, the 25-year-old from Livingston, New Jersey who played his college football at Syracuse and Illinois is set to be the Giants’ starter for the remained of the 2023 season, which will certainly provide him with a chance to prove he’s worth keeping around as a backup, or maybe even a starter, for next season.

Following their Monday Night Football game against the Packers, the Giants have games against the New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles (twice), and Los Angeles Rams remaining on their schedule.
