Colorado defensive back Shilo Sanders will not be in attendance at the NFL Combine. The six-year player was not invited to the event after wrapping up his career in Boulder.

Sanders is an interesting prospect when it come to the NFL Draft. While his reputation for laying the wood is widely known, injury history and on-field inconsistencies have caused his stock to fall.

The safety missed time in the 2024 campaign after breaking his forearm against Nebraska. He also had offseason shoulder surgery after his 2023 season.

When on the field, he was productive, racking up 137 tackles and a pick six across the last two years. He did, however, have a knack for costing his team in big moments.

On numerous occasions, he was seen delivering hits well after the whistle to cost his team penalty yardage. He was also embarrassed by ball carriers in one-on-one situations time and again in the secondary.

At season’s end, he got the opportunity to further showcase his skills at the Shrine Bowl. Reviews from the week were up and down, with some claiming his draft stock was “tanking” at the event.

It was expected by many that he’d get an opportunity to redeem himself at the NFL Combine. That won’t be the case.

Shilo Sanders was not invited to Indianapolis. Instead, he’ll have to watch from the couch as his brother and teammates participate in the workout.

At the time of this writing, the safety is considered the 235th-best prospect in the class by Pro Football Focus. That gives him a late-round grade for draft day.

He won’t have the chance to better that outlook at the NFL Combine. That will make his Pro Day at Colorado all the more important.
