Dallas Cowboys cornerback Stephon Gilmore has been a revelation this year for the Cowboys. The veteran and former NFL Defensive Player of the Year has made big-time plays all year long for an opportunistic Dallas Cowboys secondary.

Cowboys fans had to have been concerned when the 33-year-old was seen in a sling on the Cowboys’ sidelines in the second half of their NFC East-clinching win over the Washington Commanders, 38-10. But, it seems as if he will be good to go for their NFL Wild Card Round playoff game against the Green Bay Packers next week.

Here’s Pro Football Talk with more.

Coach Mike McCarthy and Gilmore both said the former defensive player of the year will be good to go for next week’s playoff opener against the Packers.

“It popped out, and they popped it back in place,” Gilmore said, via Patrik Walker of the team website. “It feels great now. I’m excited for next week.”

Gilmore laid out to try to break up a reception to Terry McLaurin, and he landed on the FedEx Field grass with his right arm extended.

“He told me he was fine, and he’d be ready to go,” McCarthy said, via Jon Machota of TheAthletic.com.

Stephon Gilmore has 68 tackles and two interceptions for a Cowboys secondary many left for dead after Trevon Diggs was hurt during practice prior to week 3. Da’Ron Bland stole a lot of the headlines for the group with an NFL record five pick-sixes. But, Gilmore has often been on the opposition’s best receiver, and has done an admirable job considering his age.
