The Patriots defensive backs weren’t the only ones getting burnt in Sunday’s season opening matchup between Miami and New England.

One football fan is going to be in a deal of trouble after leaving a grill unsupervised at the Dolphins-Patriots season debut, resulting in a fire. The unattended grill apparently went up in flames, leaving fans to return to their charcoaled vehicles after the game.

Imagine taking the family to the season opener on a beautiful Miami afternoon, watching your Dolphins land a big win over the hated Patriots, then returning to celebrate only to see your scorched car sitting in the parking lot.

Undriveable. Unsalvageable. Just completely burnt to a crisp.

Not ideal.

One tailgater caught the damage while walking through the parking lot after the contest. Check it out here.

Grill Fire Destroys Line Of Cars At NFL Game

The poster sends the video along with a caption reading, “My boy was at Dolphins Pats game, and I was told someone left a grill on by a vehicle. Unfortunately, here is the result.”

He’d go on to post another angle of the aftermath, saying that the damage to the cars “is just brutal man, damn!!”

Just an awful way to end what should have been a great day for most of those Miami fans at Hard Rock Stadium. On the bright side, at least the Dolphins got out of the game with a win in new head coach Mike McDaniel’s debut.

But that likely won’t make up for the damage done in this destructive grill fire.
