The Tennessee Titans have a quarterback problem right now.

The Titans have lost Ryan Tannehill for the rest of the regular season during Week 15 and don’t really have a viable backup as they attempt to defend their AFC South crown.

Throughout the season, Malik Willis has been the backup to Ryan Tannehill and has filled in for the games Tannehill has missed. He has been really bad when called upon.

In 3 starts, the Titans have had Willis throw the ball just 49 times. He has completed just 51% of those passes. He has yet to throw a touchdown pass in his 3 starts and hasn’t thrown for 100 yards in a game yet. He has also thrown 3 interceptions in his starts.

Luckily for th Titans, this week’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys doesn’t mean much for their playoff hopes. There season essentially comes down to whether they win or lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars next week.

With that in mind, it seems the Titans have decided to try something new for tonight.

The Titans are going to start Josh Dobbs at quarterback against the Cowboys just a week after picking him up off of the Detroit Lions’ practice squad last week.

I guess the Titans are looking to examine all of their options ahead of that Week 18 matchup against the Jaguars.

I’m just not really sure how much of a difference this move is going to make. Dobbs has attempted just 17 passes since being drafted in 2017 and hasn’t looked great in his limited action.

With just a week to learn the Titans’ playbook and without the team’s star running back, this could be a long night for Dobbs and the Tennessee Titans.
