The shoe collaboration known as Eminem x Carhartt x Air Jordan IV x Your Latent Insanity has officially concluded. And according to Complex, 10 pairs of what must be a life-altering shoe were sold, with the auction bringing in a mind-boggling $227,552.
The most expensive pair brought in $30,100, and the least expensive one took in a mere $18,750.
Important reminder: They’re fucking sneakers.
Sneakers that almost look exactly like the original Air Jordan IV’s. I know, I know, there are a few differences. Look, it even has a backwards “E” on the back!
The idea that a few cosmetic changes and limited availability raised the price from your standard $130 to half of your 401k plan is insane. However, the proceeds are reportedly going to the “MSU Community Music School-Detroit’s Literacy Through Songwriting Program.” Yeah, rolls right off the tongue.
