Remember a couple of weeks ago when Tiger Woods admitted that he may never play professional golf again? He was asked the question of whether he could see a scenario where he couldn’t be able to and he replied, “Yeah, definitely. I don’t know what my future holds for me.”
Yeah, well, forget all that nonsense. Tiger’s coming back. Are you kidding me? No way this dude, who is as competitive as Michael Jordan was on his best say isn’t going to come back if his body will let him. I don’t care if he just gets his body and swing in enough shape to come back for one more run through the Majors, dude’s going to do it.
All the proof I need to say that is this video Woods posted to his Instagram account on Sunday with the caption, “Making Progress.”
Driver? Check.
Red polo? Check.
Visions of grandeur by me? Check.
Remember how back at the end of September Tiger said this?
“Overall I’m very optimistic how I’m progressing. Like I said, the pain’s gone, but I don’t know what my golfing body is going to be like, because I haven’t hit a golf shot yet. So that’s going to take time to figure that out and figure out what my capabilities are going forward, and there’s no rush.”
Well, he has most definitely “hit a golf shot” now and suddenly I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas to hurry up and get here so I can open my presents.
I mean, sure, we enjoy seeing Tiger living his best life off the course (and having a new girlfriend)…
But it’s ON the course where he really gets us excited. Get back soon, Eldrick. Michael Jordan and I can’t wait much longer.
