The Denver Broncos have generated a ton of hype for the upcoming season after acquiring Russell Wilson via trade. However, the franchise took a hit on Tuesday, after Tim Patrick suffered a brutal injury that could keep him out of the lineup all year. Now, head coach Nathaniel Hackett and teammate Courtland Sutton react to the injury he suffered in Broncos training camp.
Nathaniel Hackett And Courtland Sutton React To Tim Patrick’s Injury
According to Dov Kleiman, the Denver staff feared the worst when it first happened. Apparently, it was a non-contact injury that Tim Patrick suffered after his leg buckled underneath him in practice. Hackett couldn’t help but feel saddened by the injury, as Patrick is a leader for this team.
The #Broncos fear a serious knee injury to WR Tim Patrick.
Head coach Nathaniel Hackett said: "It breaks your heart. The worst part of this game is when things like that happen.”

Courtland Sutton went a bit more into depth about how big of a loss this is for the Denver Broncos, per Mike Klis. Tim Patrick has played his heart out and has been the best wide receiver on the team the last two seasons. Not only is Patrick vital for the offense, but he’s great for the locker room as well.

Many were excited about the idea of Russell Wilson connecting with Tim Patrick in the upcoming season. He’s a big-bodied receiver who isn’t afraid to attack the ball in the air. Patrick was lining up to potentially have the best season of his career with Wilson under center. However, that all changes now after the injury.
Look for the Broncos to push Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler to step up in training camp with Tim Patrick out of the lineup. Denver still has a great roster despite losing Patrick for the year.
