Oct 4, 2018; Foxborough, MA, USA; New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (12) hugs wide receiver Josh Gordon (10) after he caught a touchdown pass against the Indianapolis Colts during the fourth quarter at Gillette Stadium.
It’s no secret that legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady is one of the most competitive and intensive players in league history.
We’ve all read stories about the ridiculous TB12 diet and his down-to-the-minute gameday routine. Brady’s insane discipline is what helped turn him into a seven-time Super Bowl champion and the consensus greatest quarterback of all time.
On the other end of the spectrum, however, you have former New England Patriots teammate Josh Gordon. Gordon was an incredible athlete who, at his best, was one of the league’s best receivers. But his career was derailed multiple times due to failed drug tests for marijuana.
So when the pair united for two seasons in New England, it created an interesting dichotomy.
Tom Brady Made Josh Gordon Live With Him In The Offseason
The Patriots acquired Gordon from the Cleveland Browns early in the 2018 season, and he went on to catch 40 passes for 720 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games with the team.
Gordon then remained in New England for the following season, and he recently revealed that Brady put him through an intense offseason regimen that included living with the star quarterback.
Former #Patriots WR Josh Gordon says Tom Brady made him and other teammates live with him during the offseason.
“He made us live with him in the offseason. Like train right there, his wife making us food and everything like that. It’d be me, [Julian] Edelman, and [Rob… pic.twitter.com/u0UoKCmtgm

“He made us live with him in the offseason,” Gordon told streamer N3on in a recent interview. “Like, train right there, his wife making us food and everything like that.
“It’d be me, [Julian] Edelman, and [Rob Gronkowski]… We would just do the most crazy routine of like standing in one spot and at least 50 times you just catching one specific pass… Alex Guerrero, his coach, is just holding the gun, like a speedometer for baseball, that was just clocking if it stays at 62 miles per hour.
“…Meanwhile your hands are just f—ing taking a beating… That’s about the craziest s—… He’s obsessive, bro. That’s the craziest s—. When you see how hard people prepare.”
Unfortunately for Gordon, Brady’s commitment to the game didn’t exactly stick. The talented wideout struggled with injuries and off-field issues again in 2019 and was cut after playing just six more games for the team.
