Tom Brady is coming for Greg Olsen‘s broadcasting job on FOX, and NFL fans are none too happy about it.

Brady is set to move into the broadcasting booth for the first time next season after signing a ridiculous 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox Sports soon after his retirement in early 2023.

But the legendary quarterback is aware he’ll have a big shoes to fill, and he addressed the matter on Tuesday’s episode of the Pat McAfee Show.

“I think Greg’s done an incredible job,” Brady said. ‘I have so much respect for him, how he approaches his job. He’s super prepared in what he does. I think he does an incredible job every time he’s on. I love listening to him. And I’m just going to go in there and do the best I can do with my own perspective.”

Brady will step in next to FOX lead play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt. The network has not said what the step will be for Olsen.

The former Patriots and Bucs star stated that he’s prepared for the role by spending time in the FOX production studios and studying other color analysts.

Brady becomes the latest former NFL star to make the transition to the broadcast booth. But it hasn’t been an easy transition for all of those players.

Former Dallas Cowboys star Jason Witten lasted less than a full season on ESPN’s Monday Night Football. While ex-Cowboys teammate Tony Romo has drawn plenty of criticism for his commentary in recent years.

Whether Brady is up to the task is anyone’s guess. But it’s clear he’s put in plenty of time and effort into being as prepared as humanly possible.
