With NFL training camps underway across the country, the league’s players now find themselves in the thick of the dog days of summer as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Given the intense nature of football and the added element of being surrounded by each other for most of your day and night, tensions obviously boil over at training camp practices quite often.

Not all of those incidents, though, will be as high profile as this exchange between Dallas Cowboys defensive back Trevon Diggs and quarterback Dak Prescott, which saw the former tell the latter to “shut his b—- a– up.”

Heading into the 2023 season, Prescott and the Cowboys once again have the weight of Super Bowl expectations on their shoulders, as they’re currently one of the top six betting favorites to take home next season’s Lombardi Trophy, trailing only the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers, and Cincinnati Bengals.

Prescott will certainly be looking to improve on his performance from last season, as he threw a league-high 15 interceptions — including another two in their season-ending playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers — despite missing multiple games due to injury.

Dak and the rest of the Dallas Cowboys will begin their 2023 campaign with a Sunday Night Football matchup against their NFC East division rivals the New York Giants on Sunday, September 10 at 8:20 p.m. Currently, with a little over a month to go until Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season, the Cowboys are favored over the Giants by 3.5 points despite the fact that the game will be played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

If the Cowboys are going to compete for a Super Bowl title, it’s certainly going to be an uphill battle to get out of the NFC East as the division had three playoff teams last season, including the NFC-winning Philadelphia Eagles.
