Chicago White Sox pitcher Mike Clevinger was accused this week of neglecting his child and failing to pay child support by Lindsey Hill. Hill is same woman who previously accused former MLB pitcher Trevor Bauer of assault before taking a settlement.
Clevinger is no stranger to public controversy. In January 2023, it was revealed that he was being investigated by Major League Baseball following allegations of domestic violence by the mother of one of his children, Olivia Finestead.
The following month, Finestead blasted Clevinger during an interview on a Chicago radio station. She claimed to have filed a police report on the pitcher, that he was a drug abuser, and a serial cheater. Clevinger would deny her claims and MLB would later announce that it would not be imposing any discipline on him.
Now, Lindsay Hill, who was in a protracted legal dispute with Trevor Bauer in 2022, is making accusations against Bauer’s former Cleveland Indians teammate.
“Nice, your employee Mike Clevinger hasn’t sent over his monthly child support for the 3 year old he physically neglects yet – can y’all make sure that’s sent over before first pitch?” Hill wrote in response to a post featuring Clevinger by the Chicago White Sox on X (Twitter).
“Still owes her 20k in court ordered legal fees too,” Lindsay Hill continued in another post.
When someone complained to her that she needs to stay out of business that isn’t hers, Hill replied, “It is my business when I spot his baby mama money for diapers and food when he’s late on his payments. Hope this helps.”
“It would be a lot easier to feel bad for you if you didn’t extort Trevor Bauer,” another person commented.
You’re right. I should have said falsely accuse an innocent man. And thought it out before. And referred to said man as a “victim”. Sounds like a plan for extortion to me pic.twitter.com/R0EZfaPHgv

And on and on it went. But not before Lindsay Hill also sideswiped several other people along the way, including Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts, who she accused of hitting women.
