Tyreek Hill is freakishly fast and continues to live up to his ‘Cheetah’ nickname by throwing the afterburners on in every game.

It is kind of sick what he’s been doing so far this season. Through 3 games, Tyreek Hill has 412 yards and 4 touchdowns which puts him on track for well over 2,000 yards on the season. Those 412 yards have been accomplished through just 25 receptions (on 35 targets) but Hill is out there burning dudes with his speed as the fastest man in the NFL.

And we know he’s the fastest man in the game thanks to the NFL‘s Next Generation Stats which tracks the fastest ball carriers in the game. All six of the fastest plays in the game this season have been recorded by Miami Dolphins players: Tyreek Hill, Devon Achane, and Raheem Mostert.

Fastest NFL Players Right Now: Tyreek Hill Is On Top

According to the NFL’s Next Gen Stats, these are the 10 fastest-recorded players and plays so far this season. Tyreek has accounted for 3 of the 5 fastest speeds reached this season so far.

  1.  Tyreek Hill (MIA) – 22.07 MPH, Week 3, 15-yard TD reception
  2. Devon Achane (MIA) – 21.93 MPH, Week 3, 67-yard rushing TD
  3. Tyreek Hill (MIA) – 21.66 MPH, Week 1, 47-yard TD reception
  4. Raheem Mostert (MIA) – 21.62 MPH, Week 2, 43-yard rushing TD
  5. Tyreek Hill (MIA) – 21.52 MPH, Week 1, 35-yard TD reception
  6. Devon Achane (MIA) – 21.5 MPH, Week 3, 3-yard rushing TD
  7. Aaron Jones (GB) – 21.48 MPH, Week 1, 35-yard TD reception
  8. Rashid Shaheed (NO) – 21.4 MPH, Week 3, 76-yard punt return TD
  9. Marvin Mims (DEN) – 21.38 MPH, Week 2, 53-yard TD reception
  10. Tre Tucker (LV) – 21.11 MPH, Week 2, 34-yard rushing TD

Someone shared a few of these stats to Reddit’s r/nfl where readers aptly pointed out that there are players on their favorite teams who are incapable of reaching even 20 MPH outside of a game.

Inexplicably, Tyreek Hill is at +5000 right now in the NFL’s MVP odds race. It’s not all that surprising because the MVP award is won by a quarterback every year. In fact, it’s been 17 years since someone who isn’t a QB last won it all (LaDanian Tomlinson, 2006).

So the odds are reflective of Tyreek’s chances to win the MVP, even if he’s outperforming pretty much everyone in the league so far this season.

His speed shouldn’t shock anyone that is paying attention. The dude won a 60m sprinting competition at the USATF Masters Indoor Championships earlier this year:

The Miami Dolphins Are Scary Good

Looking at that list though, the Miami Dolphins are spooky good right now. They just dropped 70 points on Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos. It was the most points scored by an NFL team since 1966!

They have the 6 fastest scoring plays in the league so far this season.

Even so, the Chiefs, 49ers, Eagles, and Bills all have better odds than the Dolphins (+1000) right now to win the Super Bowl.
