Tyreek Hill Reveals Text From Wife That Caused Him To Go Back In MNF Game Against Titans

A little support from a loved one can go a long way.

Especially if you’re Miami Dolphins superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Hill has put up MVP-like numbers for the Dolphins in 2023. But he was forced to leave Monday night’s game against the Tennessee Titans early after injury his ankle late in the first quarter.

Hill appeared to sprain the ankle on a tackle by Titans cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting.

He did not return for the rest of the first half and, unsurprisingly, the Dolphins offense sputtered. Tennessee took a 10-7 lead into halftime.

After the break, however, Hill returned to the game and made a pair of catches late in the third and early in the fourth quarters.

What led to the change of heart?

Well, apparently Hill’s wife Keeta Vaccaro wasn’t going to let him sit out.

“When it happened, like my first reaction was like, ‘man, my ankle is gone,'” Hill said after the gaem. “My adrenaline kicked in. I ran off the field. Then I sat for a while and it got stiff and I was going through a lot of pain. Then I just made up in my mind. I came in at halftime, I texted my wife, I was like, ‘This s— hurt.’ I need an ankle massage tonight, and she’s like, ‘You’d better get your a– back in that game, dawg.’ I was like, ‘All right.'”

Unforunately, Hill’s return lasted just one drive. He sat out the rest of the contest and the Titans went on to take a surprising 28-27 victory over the AFC East leaders.

Hill’s status going forward is uncertain. Miami holds just a two-game lead in the AFC East over the surging Buffalo Bills. If the star wideout misses any extended period of time, it could well have major playoff implications.
