There was a time when Matt Leinart was the ‘biggest man on campus’ at USC. He led USC Football to the 2005 BCS National Championship with a 55-19 win over the Oklahoma Sooners and also won the 2004 Heisman Trophy.

Matt Leinart wore #11 on his jersey with the USC Trojans and was such a legend with the program that they retired his jersey number forever. One would think that the current students at the University of Southern California would recognize the 2x AP National Champion (1 BCS) and 2x Quarterbak of the Year Award winner (2004, 2005) but that’s not the case at all.

Leinart recently returned to the USC campus and scared some young students as he tried to casually approach them and ask them about USC football. The reactions are priceless and Leinart quickly realizes just how many years have passed since he was the big man on campus.

There were plenty of jokes to go around after reality set in…

Would they?

The USC Trojans Football Team is currently the #6 ranked team in the nation. It has been a LONG time since they’ve been running this hot and had this much hype behind the program.

They are set to face Washington State at home this weekend before traveling to face #11 Utah on 10/15. The only other ranked team left on their schedule after that is #18 UCLA on 11/19 so USC has a relatively easy schedule once they get past Utah.
