The Minnesota Vikings reportedly received calls and will continue to listen on three key players, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

Defensive end Danielle Hunter, a three-time Pro Bowler and a formidable pass-rusher, is the most notable name. Hunter has been exceptional this season, with 6 sacks already in just 5 games.

Veteran safety Harrison Smith is close to the end of his career but still possesses some valuable skills, including leadership, sure tackling, and hard-hitting ability from the secondary that can help any defense. He also has solid hands for the position.

Meanwhile, receiver K.J. Osborn, the youngest of the trio, has seen a decrease in his role following the arrival of rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison, drafted in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Osborn played well last season, recording 60 receptions for 650 yards. The year before that he had 50 catches for 655 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Osborn’s numbers have dipped this season, with only 13 catches for 166 yards although it’s through only 5 games. Osborn’s past achievements make him an attractive prospect for teams eyeing a wide receiver upgrade.

Almost any team in the playoff hunt should welcome those players, the question is, who goes where before the trade deadline.
