When it comes to power hitters in Major League Baseball, there are few more powerful than Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

The man they call Vladdy is the reigning MLB Home Run Derby champion and already has 130 Major League home runs before the age of 25.

So when he was invited to charity derby in Puerto Rico that used metal bats, the results were as expected.

Guerrero joined fellow starts Francisco Lindor of the New York Mets and Javy Baez of the Detroit Tigers in the contest. But it was Vladdy’s team that ultimate came out on top in the final, 14-8.

Not only that, but a behind the plate angle of event shows Guerrero launching baseballs into what can only be describe as another solar system.

The Home Run Derby is always the premier event of the MLB All-Star Break. But in recent years it’s felt a little bit watered down.

Which raises one big question…

Why are they not using metal bats?

It’s not like the records mean anything and that would make for an incredible spectacle.

Who doesn’t want to see Aaron Judge hit a ball 700 feet?

My first move as MLB commissioner would be to put every derby at Coors Field with metal bats and juiced baseballs.

Who says no?
