Wrestling Legend Ric Flair Hospitalized With ‘Tough Medical Issues,’ ‘Needs Prayers’

Everyone’s favorite Rolex-wearing, diamond ring-wearing, kiss-stealing, wheelin’ dealin’, limousine-riding, jet-flying son of a gun is in bad shape right now. Ric Flair has been hospitalized and admitted to an intensive care unit over the weekend. Originally, Flair was said to be getting a routine checkup, but reports now claim that it is a much, much more dire situation.

Late Sunday night, Melinda Morris Zanoni, the CEO of Legacy Talent LLC, tweeted out that the two-time WWE Hall of Famer needs “prayers & positive energy” because “he is dealing w/some tough medical issues.”

Pro Wrestling Sheet first reported the 68-year-old wrestler was hospitalized near his home in Atlanta on Saturday morning for heart-related issues, but it was said to be a “routine monitoring.” On Saturday, Zanoni wrote, “Yes, Ric is checked into a hospital for some routine monitoring. No, there is no reason to panic. Yes, Ric would want you to go out and have a great weekend … Nature Boy style!”

The 16-time world champion had just announced that he is featured in an ESPN “30 for 30” documentary about his life titled “Nature Boy.” Flair’s 30 for 30 will premiere on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN.

So send your prayers, thoughts, and “WOOOOO’s” for the “Nature Boy.”
