Ex-WWE Star Slams Logan Paul For ‘Special Treatment’ Despite Lack Of Wrestling Background

Former WWE star Baron Corbin (real name Tom Pestock) isn’t happy with the way that Logan Paul gets treated by the company. Paul, 29, made his WWE debut in 2021 after a wildly success career as a YouTuber and influencer and he’s quickly found his way into main events feud and matches. Corbin, meanwhile, was let go by the company in 2024 after an over decade-long run.

Now he says that Paul, who had no pro wrestling background prior to the WWE, has rub some people the wrong way with the way he’s conducted himself backstage. Corbin also says that Paul’s “special treatment” doesn’t sit well with all of the wrestlers and other people in the industry backstage.

Baron Corbin Blasts Logan Paul And His Entourage But WWE Fans Disagree

“I mean, sure, I don’t know… I just don’t like those guys that get that super special treatment,” he said during a recent appearance on on The Ariel Helwani Show. “It’s not like he earned it from working his way up through NXT and getting on TV. I think he’s handed a lot of things that I think there are more deserving talent.

“I can’t stand people who run around with an entourage. He’s always got an entourage. They’re nice people, but it just irritates me. I’m protective of this industry, and when outsiders come in like that with a gold spoon or platinum spoon, or whatever spoon he’s eating off of, I struggle to really buy into it… I’ll appreciate what you do, but we’re not gonna be buddies.”

Corbin is not alone in his viewpoint. Plenty of other wrestlers and fans have bristled at Paul vaulting into the main event scene without “paying his dues” so to speak. But Paul has also shown immense commitment to the WWE, even going so far as to sign a full-time contract with the company.

Logan isn’t your normal celebrity signing,” one fan tweeted in response to Corbin. “The dude has in ring athleticism, natural heel energy, and puts on a good show. If he wasn’t good at it, they wouldn’t keep putting him in big spots.”

Whether Corbin, or fans, like it or not, Paul isn’t going anywhere. And it’s more likely than not that a WWE Title run is in his future.
