Zamir White is going to receive a large increase in touches for the Las Vegas Raiders this season. The 24-year-old running back will be part of a backfield by committee alongside Alexander Mattison, Ameer Abdullah and a potential rookie to be named in April.

It is likely that he is going to serve as RB1 for the first time in his career.

Regardless of his role, White is extremely tough to bring down. He is absolutely jacked!

The North Carolina-native has always been chiseled, dating back to high school and his time at Georgia. His physique earned him the nickname “Zeus.”

However, many NFL fans are just starting to take note of his size now that Las Vegas essentially confirmed its plans to make him the primary ball-carrier. This upcoming season will be White’s first opportunity to receive the lion’s share of carries with Josh Jacobs in Green Bay.

He is a prime breakout candidate for 2024 after averaging 114.3 total yards on 23.3 touches during Weeks 15, 16, 17 and 18 last season. His yards after contact was best for sixth in the league because he runs angry at 6-foot-0, 215 pounds. That second number might be understated.

White showed up to last year’s training camp looking like more like a defensive tackle than a running back. The best comparison might be the Hulk.

Zamir White Muscles

He is country strong! Zamir White lives on his family farm in North Carolina when not toting the rock in the NFL.

I’ve probably got like 12 horses right now. Man, we’ve got hogs, we’ve got cows, we’ve got goats. We’ve got it all; you name it. I’ve got my garden. You know how I do it. … My grandpa had me liking that stuff since I was born. So that’s just part of me, man. I love it to death.

By nature of his unusual offseason, his workouts look a little bit very different than the rest of the league. He throws hay bales, runs hills and carries feed bags.

White has a real opportunity to make himself a household name this fall. The Las Vegas Raiders backfield is ripe for the taking. If he shows up as big as he did last year after chucking hay, opposing defenses are going to have nightmares about trying to bring him down!
