Someone Made A Real-Life Optimus Prime By Turning Their Red BMW Into A Transformer And This Is Awesome

It’s safe to say that this is the closest thing the world has ever seen to someone building a 100% legit walking-talking-driving-fully-functional Transformer. In this case, they’ve chosen to turn their red BMW into Optimus Prime. The car drives, then it folds out into a billion parts, stands up as the one and only Optimus Prime, fearless leader of the Autobots, and the car even has some speakers to that it can speak as Optimus.

According to the website MentalFloss, this real-life Optimus Prime Transformer was built by a Turkish company named Letvision. This car is dubbed ‘Letrons’, probably because there are some extremely litigious people behind the Transformers franchise, but I have to say that it warms my heart to see some badass scientists putting their immense brainpower to the things that really matter in life: car robots that can fight and talk.

It’s been a few months since we’ve heard any news of the USA vs Japan Robot Fight To The Death and it’s nice to know that there are some roboticists over in Turkey keeping the badass robot innovation going.
