Here Are Some Key Easter Eggs (There Are Over 150) To Keep An Eye Out For In ‘Ready Player One’

Warner Bros.

If you happened to read the book, or heck, just saw the trailers, you know there are a LOT of Easter eggs in Steven Spielberg’s movie adaptation of Ready Player One.

I have read the book and after hearing all of the rumors about how many Easter eggs are in Ready Player One I felt compelled to do some research to figure out EXACTLY how many Easter eggs to expect when I go watch the movie this weekend.

First I ran across what I thought was a complete list of every Easter egg in the movie over on Screen Rant. They list an astounding 80 Easter eggs so surely that’s all of them, right? I had to double check.

Then I stumbled on to a list of 105 Easter eggs on WhatCulture. That’s got to be the full list, I thought. But I still wasn’t 100 percent convinced.

Finally, I hit on a list of Ready Player One Easter eggs compiled by Den of Geek which lists an eye-popping 155 of them! That’s when I quit looking. If there are more than 155 Easter eggs in the movie I don’t want to know.

Now, I am not going to list and explain all of the Easter eggs, references, cameos, etc. that you will see in Ready Player One. Because (a) I don’t want to spoil ALL of them, and (b) I don’t want to type them all out. You feel me? Besides, I just told you where to look to see them all.

However, I am going to give you a rapid-fire list of some of the more notable things to keep an eye out for when you see the movie. And no, none of them are this one…

By the way, the author of Ready Player One, Ernest Cline, believes that there is no way anyone will ever be able to find all of the Easter eggs in the movie. Sounds like a challenge quest to me.
