Over a month after his untimely passing, new details regarding the tragic death of Bob Saget have come to light.
According to a new report from People Magazine, authorities believe that Saget — who was last seen on security camera footage entering his room at 2:17 a.m. — slipped and hit his head in his hotel bathroom before making his way to his bed, where he was later found dead at the age of 65-years-old.
Authorities checked the marble end tables and counters in the bathroom, but found no traces of blood or hair. Now, they believe that Saget lost consciousness in the bathroom and fell backward onto the marble floor, striking his head.
Police believe that a groggy Saget regained consciousness and stumbled into bed, where he again lost consciousness and died. His time of death was estimated to be around 4:00 am, approximately 12 hours before his body was found. [via People Magazine]
Speaking to People Magazine, an Orange County Sheriff’s deputy said that “it’s definitely an unusual case” and that “there are still a lot of unanswered questions.”
Saget’s death sent shockwaves through the comedy community, with many of Saget’s friends hailing the late Full House star as one of the nicest people in town.
“If you saw any of the many thoughts from people who knew Bob personally, a word that came up a lot was ‘the sweetest’. And Bob was the sweetest. He was the sweetest man,” Jimmy Kimmel said while eulogizing Saget on his show.
