As multiple World Series of Poker tournaments were underway inside the Horseshoe and Paris on the Las Vegas strip on Sunday evening, a deadly shooting took place across the street. Two individuals were killed in the shooting and police are now still actively looking for the suspect.

Because this occurred on the Las Vegas strip, one of the busiest streets in America, there happened to be multiple people filming at the time of the incident.

Edited for TV standards, the TODAY Show ran this clip earlier this morning of the deadly shooting on the strip:

Very quickly after the shooting occurred, videos started being shared across social media. Many of the videos were taken down for being too graphic which seems to indicate a shift in what Elon Musk’s X (née Twitter) is willing to allow up on their website. This video was taken from across the street:

At the time, there was a live stream on YouTube of the shooting which has since been taken down by YT despite not being graphic in nature. The 2 victim’s names have not been released by the police but on social media, people are claiming one of the victims was a Vegas area streamer who goes by ‘Finny Da Legend.’ Again, that has not been confirmed but there are videos floating around on X of what’s purported to be his live stream ending after the shooting.

Following the shooting, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department identified a likely suspect and put out a request to the public for any help in finding and apprehending the shooter. Their message was shared across social media channels around 5:33 eastern time this morning with the following:

LVMPD

The shooting occurred outside of the Bellagio Hotel & Casino which sits across the Las Vegas strip from the Horseshoe/Paris where the WSOP was taking place. Inside the WSOP, some players began to catch wind of what was transpiring outside:

In a statement, the LVMPD said “it is believed that the suspect and the victims knew each other and had previously engaged in conflict over social media prior to the shooting.” Hopefully, they will be able to apprehend the shooter today.
