Deadpool is not shy of his adoration of pop culture nostalgia from the ’80s and ’90s. The Merc with a Mouth turned to the Canadian Queen of Pop for one titanic music video. On Thursday morning, Celine Dion released the music video for “Ashes,” her first English single in two years. Not only is the rousing song on the Deadpool 2 soundtrack, but the Regenerating Degenerate also performs the single-greatest interpretive dance routine in the emotional music video.
“Showtime, Mama,” Ryan Reynolds tweeted out with the music video. “Over the years I’ve received incredible songs and I’ve been involved in fun projects,” Celine tweeted. “Ashes is 1 of those songs and @deadpoolmovie is off-the-charts!Take the most insane ride of your life when it opens on 5/18!You’ll be laughing your “ashes” off!–Céline xx”
