In-N-Out Burger is surrounded by a certain mystique that makes it hard to resist the urge to see if the fast food chain lives up to the hype if you’ve never been there before, and many people will go out of their way to try it for the first time if they end up in an area where the chain is located.

Dwayne Johnson recently claimed he finally got the chance to see what the restaurant is all about, but things took a strange turn after he bragged about what was supposedly his first visit.

If you’re somehow not familiar with In-N-Out, the joint that’s best known for its burgers opened up its first outpost in 1948 and currently boasts around 400 locations—all of which are located in the western half of the United States.

Earlier this year, people in Idaho waited for up to eight hours to get the chance to order a Double Double and try some “Animal Style” fries when the first In-N-Out opened in the state, which really tells you all you need to know about its reputation among fast food aficionados.

You’d think Dwayne Johnson would’ve hit up In-N-Out for one of his famous cheat day meals before this year, but earlier this month, he claimed he had never gotten the chance to experience it in an Instagram post where he documented the visit where he ordered three burgers (sans the signature sauce) and seven orders of fries.

However, as TMZ notes, the man known as “The Rock” previously claimed he went to In-N-Out for the first time in August of 2022.

It appears that was also a lie, because if you dig a little deeper, Johnson claimed he visited In-N-Out for the first time all the way back in 2017 in a post where he took a selfie at the drive-thru.
