Okay, well this fish with a “human face” is something straight out of the Fallout series of video games. Unfortunately, it’s real and a definite sign that the apocalypse is indeed closer than we think.
Spotted in a pond outside the city of Kunming in China, the fish with the “human face” was captured on video by a tourist and has since gone viral on both Facebook, as well as Weibo, China’s knockoff Twitter service, and Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.
In the video a woman can be heard saying, “The fish has turned into a fairy.” More like the Fiji mermaid if you ask me.
Snopes.com, the arbiter of all things fact or fiction, says they have been unable “to reach a conclusion on its authenticity.”
As we have been unable to find any definitive information about the viral video showing a carp with a human face that went viral in November 2019, we’ve set the status of this article to “Unproven.” Based on what we’ve found about similar sightings, however, it seems likely that this is a genuine video of a fish with markings on its head that resemble a “human face” when viewed from a certain angle.
Of course, none of that has stopped people on the internet from losing their sh*t over the fish with a “human face.”

I don’t know… give me Nori, the dog with a “human face,” over this creepy-ass fish any day of the week.
