First Official Season 8 'Game Of Thrones' Photos Show All The Characters Who Could Rule Westeros

There are ONLY 67 more days until the premiere of the final season of Game of Thrones and HBO was gracious enough to give everybody just enough of a GoT fix to satiate them until they finally release the official trailer (which should be arriving any time now). On Wednesday, HBO released the first official photos from the set of Season 8 of Game of Thrones.

The photos at first glance don’t appear to give too many details into the eight and final season of Game of Thrones, but that won’t stop you from examining every pixel of these pics to put together some fantastical conspiracy theory as to who will sit on the Iron Throne at the end of the season. The photos from the final season show major players who are expected to be in the running to sit on the Iron Throne such as Jon Snow Kit Harington), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).

The images also feature darkhorse candidates to rule over Westeros such as Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Ser Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham), Varys (Conleth Hillas), Samwell Tarly (John Bradley), Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) and Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright).

Jaime looks gleeful, which may have something to do with Cersei looking kind of pregnant (or just bundled up for the cold). But it doesn’t look like the Mother of Dragons has a baby bump just yet. There is one photo of each character… except for Jon Snow and Cersei Lannister. What does that mean in regards to how Game of Thrones will end?

The long night continues without Game of Thrones until the hit HBO show returns on Sunday, April 14.
