How do you impress a lady? Maybe let her know that you’re paying for dinner at Applebee’s and she doesn’t have to pick from the “2 for 20” menu? Well, when you’re the richest person in the world, you set a woman’s heart aflutter by contemplating about purchasing a luxurious mansion worth $88 million. That’s the power move Jeff Bezos pulled off for his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez.
Before the celebrity relationship between Bezos and Sanchez was made public in January, the couple were reportedly shopping for a love nest for their new life together. And not just any old bungalow. They were looking at buying one of the most incredible homes that you have ever seen.
Lauren’s brother Michael Sanchez, who is a Hollywood manager, allegedly set up the appointment for the couple to tour the stunning estate in Bel Air, California. Coincidentally, Michael is also one of the potential leakers of Jeff’s intimate sexts to Lauren that were published in the National Enquirer.
In December, the love birds secretly toured 822 Sarbonne Road, an $88 million megamansion with awe-inspiring views of the Los Angeles skyline. The enormous estate is nearly 25,000 square feet, plus an additional 20,000 square feet of outdoor decks, patios, and gardens. The mansion features nine bedrooms, a state-of-the-art car elevator, a movie theater, a game room, a spa with a steam room, a massage room, and an art studio. Forget big d*ck energy, big wallet energy is far more effective.
If all that wasn’t enough, the couple even considered buying a property next door to build a professional-grade sports facility. The magnificent mansion is still on the market if you’ve got $88 million lying around.
Anybody else could barely afford the taxes on this Cali mansion. The property taxes on this estate were $159,131 according to the listing on Zillow.
Page Six reports that Bezos wanted his relationship with Sanchez, who is a former TV anchor for Fox’s Good Day LA, to be a secret at the time and even had the realtor sign an ironclad nondisclosure agreement. I’m sure Jeff’s ex-wife Mackenzie Bezos is thrilled to read that he was looking to buy his girlfriend an $88 million mansion before their divorce was finalized and totally won’t rake him over the coals for it in court.
Sanchez, divorced her husband and Hollywood mega-agent Patrick Whitesell after 13 years of marriage, but they are reportedly still living together, which their home is in the same neighborhood where Bezos lives.
Bezos, who divorced his wife MacKenzie S. Tuttle in January, owns a seven-bedroom Spanish-style estate in Beverly Hills, plus another property next door. The Amazon CEO also owns homes in Seattle, Texas, and four condos in New York City.
Jeff Bezos, who has a net worth of $134.4 billion, is currently combining two historic homes in Washington D.C. to create one massive megamansion that will be the largest in the nation’s capital. The gigantic 27,000-square-foot home has a ballroom, five staircases, three kitchens, two libraries, two elevators, two gyms, a walk-in wine room, and a whiskey cellar. Bezos knows that big houses are an aphrodisiac for women.
