A real-life Most Interesting Man In The World, McConaughey’s body of work, as an Oscar-winning actor and a human being, keeps getting more fascinating by the day: He was recently appointed “Professor of Life” at The University of Texas, where he’s frequently spotted on the sidelines of Longhorns football games cheering on the team. He’s rumored to be considering a role as iconic supervillain Harvey Dent in an upcoming Batman movie with Warner Brothers. He chats about smoking weed with Snoop and is poised to star in Guy Ritchie’s next feature, The Gentleman.
That’s what we love about Matthew McConaughey, man. He gets older, these dance moves stay the same.

For his 50th birthday, Matthew McConaughey’s opened a new chapter by starting an Instagram account, aptly named @officiallymcconaughey.
In a rambling, freewheeling welcome video, McConaughey opines in a very McConaughey way before a robust burst of McConaughey laughter:
“When people come to make, I want them to see me. Look, this is my first venture about sharing myself and my views with the world. And I’m a little nervous about it. Um, because quite frankly, I know want to have the monologue but I’m not sure I want to have the dialogue.”
McConaughey continues on Instagram:
“But I’ve learned that you have to have the monologue to have dialogue, just as you have to have the dialogue to have the monologue, so I’m looking forward to it.
I’m looking forward to sharing who I am with you. I’m looking forward to seeing if who I am translates. If it tickles your funny bone. If it makes you think for a second. If it makes your heart swell up. If it makes you take a quiet moment and go for a walk and check with the M and the E.
